Summit expands operations in Houston

HOUSTON -- An affiliate of Summit Asset Management recently acquired Coral Hills Apartments, a 174-unit multi-family apartment community in Houston. Montgomery, Ala.-based Summit also owns and operates the Villa Americana apartments in Houston and the Fawn Ridge apartments in The Woodlands.

Summit will renovate Coral Hills to update interiors and exteriors while adding features that will benefit residents. Summit has purchased, renovated and currently operates 60 multi-family apartment communities in seven states, including Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee as well as Texas.

“Coral Hills is an excellent addition to the Summit portfolio that will enhance our customer-oriented and family-friendly management philosophy,” said Blake Brazeal, president of Summit Asset Management. Summit traditionally establishes community-building relationships with local schools, churches and Boys and Girls Clubs, and encourages a variety of activities for children of residents. Such relationships add significantly to the quality of life in Summit communities.

Summit Asset Management is owned by Summit America LLC, a private equity company with interests that include housing, manufacturing and finance.
